Grade 1 students have been learning about the various needs of plants and animals. Students will be going to the Calgary Farmyard on May 20 from 9:00am to 2:30pm to learn about plant lifecycles and how various farm animals are taken care of and raised. Students will also have the chance to explore the various farm-themed interactive activities around the park during some of our group explore time.
Calgary Farmyard is a field trip location which takes place outdoors. As we will be outside most of the day, please have your child dressed for extended outdoor activities. This includes jackets, hats, sunglasses, and appropriate durable footwear. If your child has sunscreen or bug spray, please apply it in the morning before sending them to school. If they bring additional sunscreen, we ask for no aerosols and that students are able to apply it to themselves. Please do not send additional bug spray.
Please have your child bring 2 snacks, a lunch and a water bottle. There are washroom facilities.
