Fish Creek School Weekly Update
On Friday, December 5th, we hosted our annual Fish Creek Market, welcoming family, friends, and community members into the school to peruse the students’ festive creations and spirited activities. The proceeds of the market are being used to support the Calgary Humane Society.
Veteran’s Food Drive
We are excited to share that our annual Veterans Food Drive began on Thursday, December 4th. Donations can be dropped off at the front of the school each morning. You can find out more here.
Fun Lunch and Spirit Day
December 11th is Festive Sweater Spirit Day and Taco Time fun lunch. You can order a fun lunch for your child on Healthy Hunger.
Coffee with the Principal
Please join us for coffee and conversation with Katrin and Tim in the staff room on Friday, December 12th at 11:30 am.
Save the date! Winter Concert Performance will be on Thursday, December 18 at the following times:
Grade 6 – 1:00
Grade 5 – 1:45
Grade 1 – 2:30
Other grades will have a concert performance in the spring.
Schools are funded based on student enrollment as of September 30. Adjustments to the school organization and staffing assignments may have to be at that time to align resources with students’ needs.
Fish Creek Parent Council/Society Updates
Our next FCS School Council meeting will be December 16 at 7pm. All families are welcome to attend.
Also, please mark your calendars. Our MLA, Myles McDougall will be attending our Parent Council meeting on Tuesday, January 20. We’ll be discussing Fish Creek School and hearing presentations. We also plan to submit questions in advance and we hope and we hope there will be time for additional questions from our community. We hope you will join us for this event!
