This is the time of year when we begin planning next school year’s organization, especially in terms of our enrollment and student population projections. Please fill out the Intent to Return Form whether or not you anticipate that your child/ren will attend Fish Creek School again next year. We realize that plans may change over time and would ask you to kindly let the office know in these cases, so that we may staff with accurate numbers. If you have more than one child at Fish Creek, please fill out one form for each child currently in Kindergarten to Grade 5. Please fill out this separate form for current Grade 6 students. Please have this form completed by January 24, 2025.
In the same vein, if you intend to register a sibling at Fish Creek, we ask that you do it as soon as possible through School Engage. School organization and fall staffing is based on the numbers we have in the spring. While adjustments can be made, having accurate numbers in the spring allows the school to be intentional in its planning. If you need help with the process, please contact the office.
Report cards will be made available for viewing by families on January 27 in MyCBE. You are encouraged to discuss it with your child. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
We are currently streamlining our student experience / field trip process. You may see a fee posted in MyCBE before communication about the field trip has been sent out. This is due to different systems being used for the financial and the approval side.
A reminder that there is no school on January 31, as it is a non-instruction day. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on February 3.
FCS School Council Updates
The Fish Creek School Council and Parent Association meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the staffroom. The dates for this year’s meetings are as follows:

Lacrosse Night at the Saddledome
Join us as we cheer on Calgary’s Roughnecks Lacrosse team when they face the Toronto Rock. Our Fish Creek Community loved the ELEV8 lacrosse residency and we can now see professional lacrosse players in action! Lacrosse games are high energy and action-packed, so we're in for an exciting evening.

Family Ice Skating Night
Join us for an enchanting night of skating under the stars! It's a free event and refreshments will be provided. We will be at Lake Sundance in the top rink on Thursday, February 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule for Tuesday, February 25.
