Transportation registration is available using your MyCBE account.
Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 22 deadline will be delayed. Confirmed routes are posted in August. For those who register after the June 22 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.
Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025.
To find your school’s walk zone map, visit CBE’s Find a School Tool and follow these instructions:
- Type in your home address or search by school in the drop-down menu.
- Choose your program under Program Options.
- Click on the grade(s).
- Below the map, in the “Programs” column, click on the grade/program for your school.
- This will display the walk zone for your desired school/program.
- Note: only one walk zone can be displayed at a time.

Sports Day Kudos
Thank you to everyone who answered the call for volunteers on Sports Day. The students had great fun and lived through the scorcher.
Parking Lot Safety
For everyone’s safety, we ask that families do not use the school parking lot at any time, and especially for drop-off and pick-up. This is very dangerous. We do not want students walking through the parking lot as it is often very difficult to see a child when backing up and have had near misses in the past. Not all of our staff start and end work at the same time, so there are people coming into the parking lot at different times.
Read-a-Thon
Today is the last day of the 2025 Read-a-Thon. Students have been working hard to improve their reading skills and fundraise for our school. As a reminder, every student who participated and has a parent or guardian submit the following Google Form, will be entered into a random prize draw. There will also be prizes for the top readers and fundraisers. Please use this link to submit a form for each of your children that participated. Thank you for your continued support of FCS and all of the students.
Yearbooks
Yearbooks are now available to order online at Healthy Hunger. The deadline to order is June 1 with expected delivery the week of June 16.
Stampede Breakfast and Western Wear Spirit Day
Yaahhooo! Put on your best western and enjoy the morning as the Calgary Stampede serves up a pancake breakfast to students and families starting at 8:45 am, right after drop-off on Wednesday, June 4. Grab some pancakes and some good times with our FCS Community!
We also need parent volunteers to help the Stampede serve breakfast that morning. We so appreciate our volunteers and couldn’t do events without you. Please sign up through this link.
School Council News
The last school council meeting of the year will be June 17 at 7pm.
Mark your calendars and don’t miss this important opportunity! We are so pleased that our MLA, Myles McDougall, and our School Board Trustee, Charlene May, are planning to attend our Parent Council meeting on Tuesday, June 17, starting at 7 pm. We’ll be discussing Fish Creek School and hearing presentations from both guests. We’ve also submitted questions in advance and we hope there will be time for additional questions from our community. We hope you will join us for this event!
Lost and Found
We have many items that have not been claimed in our lost and found. Please take a moment when in the school to take a peek, you may discover a hidden hoodie that you haven't been able to find at home. Lost and Found items will be donated to charity at months end.
