Our many lost and found items are currently on display in our multi-purpose area.  Please take a moment to come by the school to check the racks of clothing that have been found.  Items that have not been claimed by June 26 at 12:30pm will be donated to charity.

Register Now for Yellow School Bus Service for 2025-26 .  Transportation registration is available using your MyCBE account. Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.   Registrations are accepted after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 22 deadline will be delayed. Confirmed routes are posted in August. For those who register after the June 22 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus. Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025. Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.

For everyone’s safety, we ask that families do not use the school parking lot at any time, and especially for drop-off and pick-up. This is very dangerous. We do not want students walking through the parking lot as it is often very difficult to see a child when backing up and have had near misses in the past.  Not all of our staff start and end work at the same time, so there are people coming into the parking lot at different times.

Kindergarten registration is ongoing.  Please note that if you have not as yet registered your child for kindergarten please do so as soon as possible.  We are actively organizing and planning and planning for 2025/2026 school year.

The last Coffee with the Principal of the year will be on Friday, June 20 from 11:00am to 12:00pm.  Come hear about year end updates to wrap up the year.

A reminder that the last day of the school year is Thursday, June 26, which will be a half day ending at 12:10pm.

FCS School Council Updates

The Read-a-Thon has now wrapped up!  Thank you to everyone who participated. Please click this link and fill out a form for each student that has participated in the Read-a-Thon. The deadline to submit forms online has been extended until Monday, June 9. If no money was raised, but your child still kept track of their reading, please submit just the amount of minutes they read. Prizes will be awarded for total minutes read, total dollars raised and there will be a random prize draw for anyone that participated and filled out a form. Thank you for your continued support.

The last school council meeting of the year will be June 17 at 7pm.   Mark your calendars and don’t miss this important opportunity!  We are pleased that our MLA, Myles McDougall, and our School Board Trustee, Charlene May, are planning to attend our Parent Council meeting on Tuesday, June 17, starting at 7 pm.   We’ve submitted questions in advance and we hope there will be time for additional questions from our community.  We hope you will join us for this event!

Calling all volunteers! We are fortunate to have our next Casino dates coming up Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11, 2025. This casino will bring in somewhere between $65,000 and $85,000 to the school to help pay for things like playground upkeep and replacement, books, gym equipment, student online resources, laptops and technology, and so much more. Without parent volunteers we will have to forfeit the casino and miss out on this huge contribution to the school, so if you can volunteer please do!  Please view the Sign Up Genius to see the shifts available.  You do NOT need school clearance and a police report to participate. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbours and anyone over 18 is welcome to volunteer.
