School Engagement Survey

Each year, schools in the Calgary Board of Education conduct online surveys to engage with their communities and provide and opportunity for families to directly provide feedback. This feedback helps inform decisions related to school planning, which includes the School Development Plan (SDP), budget and fees. Feedback is considered along with fiscal realities, student learning results, and other relevant data. The SDP outlines how student learning will be improved over time. This plan is updated each year based on various data sets. The school budget provides funding to implement our SDP and other supports for learning. School fees are necessary when costs for services and activities exceed available funds. Fees are applied so schools can offer a variety of services and activities such as in-school experiences, field trips, and athletics.

Please take the time to complete our survey about the SDP and school fees.

Spring Book Fair is coming!

The Fish Creek School Spring Book Fair is coming! The book fair is one of our most anticipated fundraisers of the year and helps the library purchase new resources for our library. Last year we were able to purchase new furniture for our older students' reading area, as well as numerous new books for our library. The Spring Book fair will run from March 18–20 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Unfortunately due the CUPE 40 strike, the book fair will not be open Thursday evening or Friday morning. Parents are welcome to come visit the book fair during school hours March 18–20.

Book Fair Volunteers Needed

Our last Book Fair of the year is coming up March 17 (set up) - 20 and we need many volunteers to make this event a success. If you are available and you are cleared to volunteer at the school, please click here to sign up. Thank you for your support!

Hug and Go - Front of School Drive Thru

  • There should be no double parking / double drop offs in the drop off zone
  • Parents should not be stopping at the entrance of the drop off area as this creates a backlog of cars trying to enter
  • Parking is available on the street or in visitor parking if you need to exit your vehicle, do not park in the drop off area
  • Be considerate of the many parents behind you
  • Note:  Do not drop off or pick up students from staff parking area
