Coffee with Katrin and Tim
Earlier today, Ms. Lusignan and Mr. Birchfield met with a group of interested parents in the staffroom and enjoyed coffee and doughnuts courtesy of Danny Yip. We discussed issues such as the structure of parent conferences, possibilities for improving the lunchtime soccer experience for students, and the myth that FCS is too full to enrol children from Sundance.
Parking
At FCS, we have been blessed by one of the most spacious and hospitable visitor parking facilities of any school. Please ensure that you take the opportunity to enjoy this superlative amenity. The staff parking is far less convenient for dropping off students in the morning.
School Council and Parent Association
The Fish Creek School Council and Parent Association will meet in the staffroom at 7:00 pm on the 15 of October 2024.
Fun Lunch and Moustache Day
We will have our first Fun Lunch of the year on Thursday, the 17 of October. It is also Moustache Day, and we would like to encourage everyone to participate with stick-on or makeup moustaches.

Updates from Parent Association
Halloween Dance on October 24
Fish Creek Parent Association is hosting its annual Halloween Dance on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $4 and every child must be accompanied by an adult. There are no paper tickets - you are added to the guest list. Please purchase your tickets under your oldest child's name at: www.HealthyHunger.ca. Costumes are highly encouraged - no toy weapons or masks. There will be a cash-only snack bar. Tickets are limited and will sell out!
We also need volunteers for that night to decorate the school, check-in attendees, run the snack bar, and help put away supplies after the dance. Thank you for your help and support! Hockey Night on November 22
Our annual Hockey Night presented by the Fish Creek Parent Association will be on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Saddledome where the Calgary Hitmen take on the Victoria Royals. Tickets are $23.90 for adults and $17.60 for children, with $5 from every ticket donated back to the Parent Association. We will all be seated in the same sections (104 or 105).
