Field Trips/Student Experience Expressions of Interest
Many of the field trips and/or student experiences in which classes participate are based on how many students attend the activity. We are mindful of the ever-increasing costs that families face today. To precisely calculate the individual costs ahead of time, we will be sending out an expression of interest for each experience. This allows a family to indicate if their child will be participating. As an example, swimming lessons will be taking place for some grades in December. The bussing cost is divided by the number of students attending. If we know ahead of time that a certain number of students will not be participating, the cost can be adjusted accordingly. Having unpaid school fees affects the programming that can be offered to FCS students. If you have questions or concerns regarding field trips, please contact Ms. Lusignan.

A reminder that there is no school for all students on October 25, as it is a non-instruction day.

Volunteers Needed for Halloween Dance
Fish Creek Parent Association is hosting its annual Halloween Dance on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you haven't purchased your tickets already, they are going fast! Get them at: www.HealthyHunger.ca But we can't hold the dance without more parent volunteers! Come meet other parents and help our community that evening. There are lots of ways to help and some slots are only an hour. No security clearance needed. Hockey Night on November 22
Our annual Hockey Night presented by the Fish Creek Parent Association will be on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Saddledome where the Calgary Hitmen take on the Victoria Royals. Tickets are $23.90 for adults and $17.60 for children, with $5 from every ticket donated back to the Parent Association. We will all be seated in the same sections (104 or 105).
