A reminder that there is no school Monday, October 12 due to Thanksgiving and Monday, October 19, as it is a non-instructional day.
We have many forms outstanding. Please log into your MyCBE Account and complete the following:
· Demographic Forms – This form is mandatory and may affect school funding if not completed. A 100% completion rate is needed.
· Annual Authorization Forms – Allow students to participate in various activities
· Volunteer Registration – If you want to volunteer, this form must be filled out annually, even if you have a valid police clearance. Please see this link for more information.

Separately, please complete the Family Viewpoint, which helps your child's teacher understand their strengths and learning styles. Please fill out one for each child at FCS.
In order to streamline our limited resources, absences can be reported through email at fcsattendance@cbe.ab.ca. There will no longer be a phone option. By sending an email with your child’s first and last name, grade, teacher and reason for absence ahead of time, we can process attendance more quickly. Please add this email address to your contact list.
Friendly Reminder! The photo proofs have been sent home with your child and the deadline to order school photos with FREE Ship-to-School delivery is Monday, October 12th. Please place your order at edgeimaging.ca/order using the portrait code and pass code on your proof. If the proof has been misplaced, you can look up your codes at edgeimaging.ca/lookup. We don’t want you to miss out on this special keepsake.

FCS Parent Council and Association Updates
The next Parent Council and Association Meeting takes place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 7:00 pm. Our School Trustee, Charlene May will be attending this special meeting. If you have any questions for our School Trustee, kindly email them to: fishcreekschoolcouncil@gmail.com.
Our next fun lunch is Subway on October 22. Don’t forget to place your order before the cut off on Saturday, October 17. To place your child's order please visit the Healthy Hunger website at https://healthyhunger.ca. If you miss the deadline, please do not call the restaurant and ask to add an order. It is very confusing when we end up with extra lunches. If your child will be absent on a fun lunch day, you can cancel their lunch on the Healthy Hunger website before the cut off date (the Saturday before the lunch.) Refunds are not available through the school at any time or via Healthy Hunger after the cut off date. If your child is unexpectedly absent on the Fun Lunch day, please contact the office to arrange for pickup in the office from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm or to have it sent home with a sibling.
