A reminder to set your clocks forward one hour this week due to the start of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, March 8 at 2 am.  More sunshine and light are coming our way!

Our next spirit day will fill the school with Tie Dye!  Wear your best tie dye on March 12.

Please remember that all digital devices, including cell phones and smart watches, should be away for the day.    These devices should not be used for texting or communicating during school hours, including at lunch and recess.  Students will be asked to put the devices in their backpacks.  Please read the CBE Away for the Day FAQ, which was created at the direction of a Ministerial Order.

Student Led Conferences will be held on March 19 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm and March 20 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  This is an opportunity for your child to share their learning with you.    It is an open house, drop in style, with no sign up needed.

Please take the opportunity over the next three weeks to go through our lost and found. Any items left by Friday, March 20 at 12 pm will be donated.

The next Scholastic Book Fair will be held the last week before spring break.  Students will have access during school hours on March 17 to Thursday, March 19 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Families can attend with their child on March 19 from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm and March 20 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Due to conferences, there is no school on Friday, March 20 for all students.  The following week is spring break from March 23 - 27.  We look forward to welcoming back students on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Our next fun lunch is Papa John’s on Thursday, March 12. Don’t forget to place your order before the cut off on Saturday, March 7. To place your child's order please visit the Healthy Hunger website at https://healthyhunger.ca If you miss the deadline, please do not call the restaurant and ask to add an order. It is very confusing when we end up with extra lunches. If your child will be absent on a fun lunch day, you can cancel their lunch on the Healthy Hunger website before the cut off date (the Saturday before the lunch.) Refunds are not available through the school at any time or via Healthy Hunger after the cut off date. If your child is unexpectedly absent on the Fun Lunch day, please contact the office to arrange for pickup in the office from 12:00 -1:00 pm or to have it sent home with a sibling. Any lunches left at the school after 1:00 pm will be forfeited. Please contact fishcreekschoolcouncil@gmail.com with any fun lunch questions. Thank you!
