Fish Creek School Updates
A reminder that all swimming forms and fees for Grade 1- 6 students were due by April 30, 2026. Currently there are still $8500 in unpaid fees for swimming alone. The cost of this program will be $52 per student. Payment can be made through your MyCBE account or in person at the office. The City of Calgary is no longer offering waivers. If the fee creates a financial hardship, please contact Ms. Lusignan, Principal immediately. We are also looking for volunteers. If you can volunteer and are cleared, we would appreciate your help. Both men and women are needed, and we ask that you stay during the whole time for different classes. Volunteers are not in the pool with the students.

Fish Creek Parent Council/Association Update
Thank you to all of our amazing artists who submitted their creations for the yearbook cover contest! We would like to congratulate our winners: Julie L (Grade 5), Eleanor B (Grade 4) and Allister R (Grade 3)! The yearbook is now available to order online at healthyhunger.ca. The DEADLINE TO ORDER is May 31. Yearbooks will be delivered to the classrooms the week of June 15th.
Our next fun lunch is Boston Pizza on Thursday, May 21. Don’t forget to place your order before the cut off on Saturday, May 16th. To place your child's order please visit the Healthy Hunger website at https://healthyhunger.ca If you miss the deadline, please do not call the restaurant and ask to add an order. It is very confusing when we end up with extra lunches. If your child will be absent on a fun lunch day, you can cancel their lunch on the Healthy Hunger website before the cut off date (the Saturday before the lunch.) Refunds are not available through the school at any time or via Healthy Hunger after the cut off date. If your child is unexpectedly absent on the Fun Lunch day, please contact the office to arrange for pickup in the office from 12:00-1:00 pm or to have it sent home with a sibling. The next School Council and Parent Association meeting takes place on Tuesday, May 19 at 7:00 pm. Board Trustee Charlene May will be joining us for the evening to discuss all things Fish Creek School!
The 2026 FCS Read-a-Thon was a huge success! Altogether the students read 201,152 minutes and $14,857.74 was raised! These funds will help the Parent Association support the students at Fish Creek Elementary School. Thank you to everyone who participated by helping students read, track reading minutes, ask family and friends to sponsor them and submitting forms.
