Fish Creek School Weekly Update
Starting this week, the weekly updates will be posted on the website and an email will be sent out to families with the link to access it. The purpose of posting it on the website is twofold. The first one is access to information. When we send out a message through School Messenger, it only goes out to the legal guardians. Many families have requested that information also go to extended family members, bonus parents, and caregivers, amongst others. That is not something that we can facilitate given the parameters of the system. This way, people can check the website at the end of every week for the weekly update. Additionally, some content is commercial. For those who have not signed up for commercial messages, the information will not be received. Please pass this on to anyone who would benefit from the weekly updates.
We had a beautiful Remembrance Day Assembly today to remember those that fought for others’ rights and freedoms. We would like to recognize Mrs. Hilldred as well as all staff, students and volunteers involved getting the assembly ready with minimal amounts of time. Due to the timing, we will be accepting donations for poppies until November 21, 2025. If you are able to support this worthy cause, please consider donating, as schools are one source of support. Lest we forget.
A reminder that we have no school November 10-12 for Fall Break. School will resume November 13, 2025
Photo retakes have been rescheduled to November 27. If you would like your child to have a photo retake, please email HAHeilman@cbe.ab.ca to have their name added to the retake list.

Fish Creek Parent Council/Society Updates
Our next fun lunch is Little Caesars on Thursday, November 20th. Don’t forget to place your order before the cut off on Saturday, November 15th. To place your child's order please visit the Healthy Hunger website at https://healthyhunger.ca
For anyone that usually places their orders for the entire year, please note we have added Subway for June 4th.
If your child will be absent on a fun lunch day, you can cancel their lunch on the Healthy Hunger website before the cut off date (the Saturday before the lunch.) Refunds are not available through the school at any time or via Healthy Hunger after the cut off date. If your child is unexpectedly absent on the Fun Lunch day, please contact the office to arrange for pickup in the office from 12:00-1:00 pm or to have it sent home with a sibling.
